Aspect Ratio
The proportional relationship between width and height of a frame, image, or screen — expressed as width:height.
In practice
Common ratios include 16:9 for video, 1:1 for square media, and 3:2 for many photos. Locking aspect ratio prevents awkward cropping when layouts reflow across breakpoints.
